before i send it to you tommorow you need to know that it might brick ur psp or display the number 3.50 which may stop you from using a custom firmware or update for a while or never. I cannot be held liable for a brick.

I figured that you'd have to create an update program that'd be recognized as an update file for a newer version, but instead it was a program that deletes certain content that isn't there in 1.50. It doesn't seem that just because a PSP can be made to think that it's 1.50 it doesn't mean that it'll act like a 1.50.

Aren't there certain items that need to be deleted for the PSP to act like it's 1.50?

u prolly tried to tell the psp it was goin 2 1.50. chess0990 is telling it is going to a nonexistant fw, 3.50. that is just as good as a custom fw, minus the recovery.

chess0990 and jeylerPSP,

Had you two read the forum rules you wouldn't be posting email addies or asking others to post theirs. There's a link to the forum rules in my sig.

My killer sig came courtesy of bb "El Jefe" mayo.

so... basicaly your unpacking the newest update and replacing data.psar and dat.psp with 1.50 versions. then editing param.sfo to say 1.50 update. then packing them into an pbp file called EBOOT?

I bricked my psp again...

Chess0990 has sent it to me and i've tried it.
in the xmb it displays the icon and it's called PSPtm Update ver 3.12.
so i started it up and it went like a normal update.
But when the orange mem stick light stops flashing it says
"The game could not be started.
(80020148)"
So it didn't work.

I bricked my psp again...
