umd drive not responding reader stoped working

the reader in my psp stoppped working so i changed its umd drive after about one day of that working it stpped working anyone got any ideas on how i could resolve this

mite be a dodgy ribbon. i thought i blew my motherboard up but realised yesterday that it was just a bust ribbon. just a suggestion.
