Hi all,

I am very new to this forum, i have bought a new PSP 1004, with firmware 2.81. i am very new to PSP technology, after buying it i went to the net and did a lot of research about my firmware. but just cudn't reach a conclusion. caa somebody please help me out on the following:
1. can a higher version of firmware play the games designed for lower version, like a game designed for fiemware 2.7 can be played on 2.81?
2. Can i play ISO's or downloaded games on my 2.81 firmware if yes then how,
i will be greatful if somebody can detail me about these..., thanks a lot....

Please please please please please... i just do not want to brick my PSP thus want to take expert opinions, this forum was much recommended.

The PSP is jsut lying with me for more than 2 weeks and am not able to do anything with it... no gaming action yet... please help me wit the situation...

Since Ur New to PSP Technology Take care of every step you make With ur PSP like updating or downgrading Cause U Might Brick your PSP So Take Care....We Will tell U What to with Ur 2.81 As Soon As Possible So Please Be Patient...OH & Dont post ur email (read the Forum Rules)

you need to downgrade to 1.5 and then upgrade to dark alex 3.40 oe. go to psp-hacks. be careful!!!!!!!!

i have one more query... cn we play games that ar made for lower Firmware like games made for 2.6 or something on higher firmwares... this may appear a bit stupid but as i said i am very new to the technology of PSP...

I just found a lot of stuff for the custom firmwares, but how am i supposed to do that, as i hav 2.81 and i can't downgrade to 1.50???????
