After upgrading from 3.40 oe-a i CAN'T run any ISO/CSO off my memory stick. (I could run games from UMD drive.)
Im getting the following errors: "The game could not be started. (080020148)" and when starting up the psp it boots directly into

I tried the following:
1- 1.5 recovery
2- Re install 3.40 OE-A
3- install 3.30, 3.10, 3.03, 3.02
4-UMD in drive when trying to run CSO/ISO's off MS

Still getting the same problem after all this.

P.S. Im running a non-TA USA PSP.

Any advice

thx

OK I FIXED THE PROBLEM..........

APPARENTLY alot of people was having problems with 4.30 OE-A. There was a corruption in the Flash 1. So i did the following;

1- I first reflashed to 3.10 OE-A (This is the OE that I want)

2- Download 'FLASH 1 Formatter" (Search QJ for it) and pit in memory stick .....follow the simple instructions

3- Flash 1 is cleaned out and IM UP AND RUNNING AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mine boots to the xmb directly too, you can change it in the config in recovery menu, but it always changes itself back somehow, for me anyways.

I was having the error but now i figured it out wish i looked at
Daz2007 post a lil closer.

Configuration -->
Use NO-UMD (currently: DISABLED)

This caused the PSP to black screen.
So add these steps next

Advanced -->
Advcanced Configuration -->

Plain modules in UMD/ISO (currently: DISABLED)
Execute BOOT.BIN in UMD/ISO (currently: DISABLED)
Use isofs driver also in UMD-inserted mode (currently DISABLED)

Once i had all 4 of these disabled my ISO launched and also allows my (ORIGINAL) UMD of Tekken Dark Resurrection to BOOT.

I was getting the error not only on the ISO, but also on this particular UMD.

This IS the way to fix it.
There IS nothing wrong with the flash image. PROPS to Dark_Alex
The only thing i can think of is maybe in the previous verison of the OE the default settings were differnt.

Thank yuou soooo much. I had Use No UMD enabled and it was screwing everything up (Densha De Go, Harvest Moon, GTA VCS, Metal Gear Solid P.O). They all work fine now.
