What is the diffrence between a V0.22 device hook and the new versions?

the new versions have a new firmware they can emulate. Pretend the ur can run 2.5 firmware (guessing). The new dev hook can run up to 3.40 firmware. Newest is always the best ...

yes u can play games for up to 3.40 firmware.

its called readme.txt for a reason, and then files is called 'installer'. so it obviously installs it. put it in psp/game and run it

How 2 start a game in the device hook i tried 2 i first choosed Devicehook firmware installer 2 install the eboot then i went 2 DevHook0.52 launcher after i choose umd select File Emulation choose a game and it did not work what did i do wrong?plz help

try inserting a umd, any umd into the slot as well

i dont got and umd thought i would not need any since i was going 2 use devicehook to play games what should i do have any advice? is there any other way 2 play psp games without upgrading and the use of a umd?

the reason u need one is because in order to load ISOs, the program that does it makes ur psp think the umd u have inserted is the ISO. otherwise it wont load. stop arguing with people who obviously know more

I bet u reply hundreds of ppl asking about custom firmware. Use search button. Anyway custom firmware is like a normal firmware with homebrew features. ( I recommend using this then dev hook)
