hey gizz, I dont mean to be too specific but if I press the info button when looking at something the summary info appears at the bottom of the screen ok. Its just that when I try to get the detailed info like what the program is about or the film info who's in it and the summary of what's it about etc ... that bit doesn't work but it used to. Does that make sense?

Hi Replaycym, I've also got the exact same problem as you. I have 2 Replay Lite boxes and upgraded the software to 7.52 successfully on both of them. Like you, when I press the EPG button you get the screen appearing which shows you the current program and the next program but when you press the info button nothing happens. With the 7.44 software when you pressed the EPG button and then pressed the Info button you would get a description on screen of what the current program or movie was about. Also...instead of pressing the EPG button, just press he info button twice when you're watching a program. On the right hand side of the screen it will show you the list of programs for the day but on the left there is no information for them. On the 7.44 software you could get information on the left side of the screen for any program so the EPG for 7.52 is NOT working. It seems that the Replay Lite box can't display detailed information for the programs. I imagine it's not too hard to take the code or whatever for this particular feature from the 7.44 software and put it into a new software release with the auto update feature? Is it possible someone could release a fix for this or a new software update - 7.53?

CBX ive got 7.52 and the info works fine on mine m8 maybe there is a problem with your version of 7.52.The first upgrade i did didnt work and i found another copy of 7.52 that is fine hope this helps

I think darren might be right about trying another set of files as I had trouble at first to get 752 to work, so I downloaded another copy and it has worked ok on all the boxes I have done.
I have just done another one 5 mins ago and the info button is working 100%
So I would try another set of files.

Does anyone know what kind of cable i should get to connect my box to my laptop??
My laptop has 15-pin female connection on the back. I tried using a null modem cable with an adaptor at one end to convert to 15-pin but couldnt establish a connection with STBlink.
I want to re-flash my boxes as i got a box from supplier with Ver. 7.52 on it and simply cloned lots of other boxes off it but info button is not working and epg is only working some of the time so i wana rectify the problem.
Anybody point me in the right direction with easy step guide as im kinda new to all this.

There are two types of Starview box, the original & the copy.
As far as I know there is only one Replay Lite. When people refer to a clone & a Replay Lite in the same sentence, they are referring to a replay Lite with the latest software being used to copy it to another Replay Lite to bring it up to date. Box wise both Replay Lites are the same.

Quick update....
Since my first post this morning I have updated the software on my Replay Lite box with versions 7.44, 7.50 and 2 different versions (or bin files that I was told would work re: INFO problem) of 7.52 but the ONLY version that worked regarding the INFO problem is 7.44. I'm not sure that people understand what the problem is here. It's not that the INFO button doesn't work, it does...the problem is that the Replay Lite box cannot display 'detailed information' about a program or movie. When you press the EPG button, highlight a program and press the INFO button nothing happens. I believe the reason for this is not that the button doesn't work, it's that the Replay Lite box can't read the 'detailed information' for any program.
If this is not the same problem that others are having please let us know and if people that do say they have their Replay Lite box working 100% can verify that they can get detailed information on e.g. a movie (date it was made, plot and cast by using the EPG button then INFO button) please post your results here because after flashing my box 4 times today, the only software that can do this for me is 7.44

I can confirm that I get detailed info when epg is pressed and then the info button, it gives me a lot of info

You're in the UK Gizz / Darren aren't you? I'm in Dublin...maybe it's an issue with NTHell over here? I'd find it hard to think it is but I updated with both the 7.52 files you sent me Gizz and still no joy...

I've just tried the 7.52 bin file you sent me and it doesn't seem to have made any difference. I wonder if it's only people on the NTHell network in Ireland that are only getting this problem. Is surely thought that the one you sent me would have worked. Thanks anyway...

Its definately a software glitch with 7.52 on the Irish Nthell network. I have upgraded 9 Replay Lite boxes from 7.44 to 7.52 for people at various times over the past few weeks and on each occasion after upgrade the "Info" button ceases to work in EPG. Prior to upgrade you could press "EPG" for the program guide and then "Info" for detailed programme information.
It would be extremely helpful and much appreciated if the author of 7.52 could possibly see his/her way to developing and releasing a patch to fix this glitch. Thanks in advance.

anyone any idea why when i try to download the 752 why i am getting a message error; model name does not correct

novice are you using the ireland patch and not the uk patch?

To be honest I think Novice is right...seems that the UK 7.52 software works fine on boxes in the UK but the Irish 7.52 software isn't working as it should on boxes in Ireland. Must be the way that the boxes read the detailed information from the NTHell cable network here which seems different from the UK. After changing the software on the Replay Lite yesterday a few different times it's the only possibility I can see...

Both the UK and IE versions of 7.52 are the same. The only thing that differs with the two download folders posted a few pages back in this thread is the instructions. I am sure of this because debic was the first one on here to get 7.52 and when she sent it to me I took the instructions from 7.50 (the version that would not let you change the symbol rate) and tailored two separate sets of instructions to make it easier for people to understand. The reason I did this was because there was a whole lot of confusion about providers and symbol rates. So you can take it from me there is only one version of 7.52. These two links just have different instructions enclosed. Sorry if I confused anyone.
