just a quick query
a mate of mine is down in monasterevin and is wondering if the replay lite or Starview would work on the ch##us network.

Anyone know?

quick question does anyone know can you update the Starview box the same way you can with the replay lite?? i updated my replay and a buddy wants his Starview box updated can i do it the same way??

Lounds like you did not have the install lock on and someone has pressed factory reset. Your best bet is to reflash mate.

Those are definately the codes that are presently in use. I have just rebooted the box to be sure. I have also got my dad to check his.

When you say you cannot get into the current key, is the red button symbol missing when you go into parental lock? If it was there before but is no longer it could be that box has gone back to factory default.

no the red button is still there but when i press it it does go to the current key, nagra, reset. but when i try to go into current key it will not let me.. any ideas?

Try turning off your parental lock and install lock first. If you have already tried this just leave the box unplugged for a few minutes and then try again.

Also, instead of using "Current Key" can you get into Nagra. If so use this and scroll back to Prov ID x55 and enter the codes there.

Entered the last set of codes but still no joy.Just have RTE2,TV3,and setanta sports all the others are reading 1800 scrambled any new codes available

The auto update should always be turned off when you are entering keys. I dont know if this will help with your problem of not being able to access the hex keys.

i can even get into the page to turn it off.. i have the cable to update my box i just need a pc with a 9 pin port.. do you think when i do this it will sort itself out..

when you've flashed your box all those problems should stop. In the mean time why don't you reset the factory default, then after you have done that you will be able to turn off your autoupdate and enter your codes. Make sure your install lock and parental lock are also turned off or the codes won't save for you.
