Firstly, the reason you could not get into current key is most likely because you had not yet done an auto search at that stage and no channels were present. You will probably find its ok now that you have manually loaded channels. If the problem persists go to parental lock and change your password to 7777. Its defaulted to 0000 after loading 9.10.
With regard to the lost channels, if Set@^t@ sport was there after you loaded the channels it may be that it is off air in your area. This happens regularly. If the problem continues you can manually tune it in with the frequencies posted here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/531363#3215789
Just go to whatever channel it is normally on and go to manual search and use the frequency listed. Enter NO in the search by network, otherwise it will rescan all your existing channels and you will lose them.

NO! it will destroy the box. Go to Eamo's Library at the link below and go to the Eurovox files. Make sure you get the software to suit your type of eurovox as I think there are different versions of Eurovox

Just to say a big thank you to everyones' help on this site (especially Brian!), we're all sorted now everythings come back. Se$anta1 is now back. But I suppose just for other people to know, Brian's advice on saving all channels/favourites to desktop before doing the flash was absolutely crucial to us as we just got our channnels from there as we couldn't go to current key after the flash, so make sure you save your channels to desktop as the first thing you do, as it saved our bacon. Still not sure about True movies though? Never mind. Thanks a billion to all of you who bothered to respond to our requests, moggster, gman, novice, Brian etc(you know who you are)If mumpties like us can do the flash, then I'm sure anyone can!Thanks again!

Its much the same technique. You will find foolproof instructions in the library. Its just a different desktop loader and firmware.

Alright lads,
I'd flashed my box and all that ages ago and it was working fine.
Since this morning I can only get the premium channels.
Everything else says "NA:Scrambled!"
Any ideas whats wrong?

Same thing happened to me da during the week. Checked with his neighbour who also has one and he had the same problem. Turned out it was a week signal in the area. Was gone till the next morning. Just leave it on s^y sports which has the strongest signal and it will update when it picks up a good signal.

Hey Novice99, welcome back!
Do you mind if I ask u a Starview question? My mate has 2 Starview boxes, he got one upgraded and the second one isn't. He has the cable to connect the Starview to the internet but when he was trying to download the software he got a load of stuff up giving his name and everything so he was afraid to download it. So he was wondering how to connect the two boxes and clone one to the other? He says they're two genuine Starviews.
One other thing, he was also saying that 2 people got 15 months jail each in England for defrauding the cable companies? Hear anything about that?

Didn't hear anything about people getting jailed. There are people doing 100 times worse than that here in Ireland and walking away scott free.
Dont understand what you mean when you say your mate is connecting the starview to the internet. All he has to do is download the software and GTRom loader (for genuine starview) from eamo's library and connect the starview to a pc with null modem cable and install.
He should first of all make sure though that they are actually genuine boxes. The easies way is to count the vents on the box. A genuine one has 7 rows of vents on top with 25 on each. The clone ones have 7 rows with only 15 - 18 on each.

I'm not really sure what he's doing to be honest! He was telling me in the pub yesterday evening so prob have it a bit confused. He has one Starview upgraded and just wants to connect the two boxes to each other and copy the softwzre from one to the other? How do you do that?
Was just reading about that other prison thing. It's on http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2/664067 they were running a website or something.

If he downloads the zip folder from the library and has the cable (which he would need anyway if he was cloning) its even easier to flash a starview than it is to flash a replay.
Just read that post about jail. Those two guys were telling ppl how to midify the box that was provided by the Cable Company itself. You dont own those boxes.

Yeah, well I haven't done anything to my N*L box, and I still pay for digital. I just have another box that happens to get a few more channels in the other room!
Will tell him to check the library. He's just a bit nervous about it, especially after I screwed up my whole pc!

to clone the starview you make sure the matster one is on (one your cloning from) then put your null modem cable into each box make sure the second box aint on just yet
then on the master look at the menu then user set up then see where it ays sw transfer click that then highlight code sw dont press it yet till you turn the second box on then when its on press it you should then see a green loading bar movin to 100% then that should be it

Fair play to you moggser. I have cloned literally hundreds of replays over the last couple of years and I imagine cloning the starview is much the same. However, unless I have tried it myself I wont take a chance and advise anyone else to try it.
