Has the box moved from red to green as a result of uploading 7.42a?

If it has, unplug again and replug, close stb link and re open it again. If it still gives you problems re load 7.42a again.

Hi, I was trying to manually add a few channels, Dave TV, Buzz Tv and Virgin. Anyway managed to get Dave, but couldn't get the other two. Then I did an auto search and wiped everything! Luckily still had the factory data saved on my computer so it's fine, but was wondering how do I get the extra channels? Don't have Dave anymore either after wiping everything, when I do the manual scan it says it doesn't find any channels. Don't know what symbol rate I should be using, I'm in Dublin 13? I have downloaded the frequency list for Ireland and am using that but still don't seem to be able to get channels. Thanks.

Hi Evastar,

To do a manual search on the replay lite box.
Ireland.

Menu,
User Installation,
Manual Search?.OK
Up pops the Manual Search box.
Press Yellow Button to edit your Preferences.

Channel number: CH 1.
Frequency: 299 (virgin)
Symbol Rate: 6887
Constellation: 64 QAM.
Search By Network: ON.
Search
The box will find a number of channels on your selected frequency.
When the search is finished, Select VIEW.
The new channels will be now stored at the bottom of your channel list.
Eg: If you already had 120 channels stored, the new ones will be stored from 121 onwards.

The manual search will find some channels you already have, just delete them.

Go to menu, Channel Manager, TV Channel and use the green edit to move, delete or rename the channel list.
Dave TV....291
Buzz TV....315

Or Download my Channels and Favs from the Library and Write Factory Data using the Stblink5.20

Sometimes the cable companies change around the frequencies, just to keep us on our toe's.

Glad you are sorted now...happy days

Dave and Buzz are still coming up NA Scrambled and won't unscramble. Should I manual search for them again? They were fine for the first 5 minutes and now I can't unscramble them.

Thw frequencies haven't changed,still Dave TV....291
Buzz TV....315.

When you are on one of these channels, press OK on your remote control...In the bottom left corner of the screen you should see the above frequencies.

It could be a week signal in your area or are you using a splitter.
If you are using a splitter, try connecting the TV cable directly into the box and see what happens.

You could also unplug the box when you are one of these channels and plug it back in again and see does it unscramble.

The above frequencies are working OK.

Hi Brian

What seems to be happening is that when I get one of them eg Dave on the manual search it's working fine, but then when I change my frequency to search for Buzz, Dave gets scrambled and Buzz works, and then when I change again to search for Virgin, it works and Dave and Buzz are both scrambled!? Maybe I need to change my manual search frequency back to something else when I've finished doing the searches?

Tried plugging box out but not doing anything. Don't worry about it not that important. Not sure whether have splitter or not, probably do, the cable is coming out of the wall but does in two rooms. By the way, Dave etc all working fine in other room with N*L box.

Download my Channels and Favs from the Library to your desktop.

http://www.4shared.com/file/39274953/d1c...rified=d727a39c

Open up the Stblink,
Select Write Factory Data.
and get the file you downloaded from your desktop.
It will then transfer to your box.
When your computer reads "Transfer Complete" WAIT about 15 seconds.
The light on your box should be flashing really quickly now.
Exit the Stblink, unplug the box and null modem lead.
Plug back in the box and scart and TV lead and all the channels will be there.

These channels are for Ireland only.

That 4Shared link to the channel dump is invalid Brian (Probably just expired).

Is that file Dublin specific Brian? or is it good for all N*L Ireland?

Aside from all that, how are you keeping M8?

Thanks for the heads up Gman,

I just fixed the link.

I'm not sure if that file will work outside Dublin as the frequencies might be different in other parts of the country.

I will email you my channel list and frequencies later tonight and you can compare them to what you have in your area.

Keeping well myself, gone a bit quite now, the lull before the strom...maybe.

Hope you too are keeping well Gman, keep up the work M8ty.

All the best,

Brian.

Evastar,

Delete the non working channels and then do a manual search for them.

Brian.
Just got the list you sent Brian & have compared them to Galway, there is no comparison they are totally different.

Sc0user did mention something about my list in another thread but I wasn't fully sure what he meant exactly.

I guess this is the kind of instance he was referring to.

So, the Freq list for N*L Dub Ire is not the same as the Freq list for N*L Gal Ire.

Can you imagine the frustration when someone from Dublin tries to find a channel using a Freq from my list & vice verse?

Sc0user also mentioned something about a list already existing but I don't know where that is.

So it's safe to say the following:

For Ireland, frequency lists are specific to

1. Country
2. Location within that country
3. Provider.
