Hey Edmund, I have the same problem! (Replay PVR-C100) Did you manage to get this sorted?
Thanks

No, what you have is the USB to Serial adapter.
You also need a 9 pin female serial to 9 pin female serial NULL Modem cable.

New software for the Replay Box PVR.
Back up your channels first.
Hi Brian,
I have a Replay PVR - Are you saying that the 742A Firmware in compatible with Replay Lite & Replay PVR C100? Should I upload the 7.44 first then the new 913 or 742A then 913?
Sorry for the confusion but I flashed with Replay Lite software before and it took me ages to sort it out.
Thanks for all of your information by the way! I would be totally screwed without it :)

To backup your saved channels and favourites.
Connect the null modem lead to your PC and box and power up the box.
Open up the stb link.
Setup Comm.
Click Read User Data
The file will be called Factory_Data.txt
There will be 64 blocks to download from the box.
Save it to your desktop and re-name it what you want.
_____________________________________________
Then flash with the 742A
Plug back in your box wait for green light.
Then flash with the 913.
Box will probably stay on red.
Reload your channels and favs and it will fix this.
________________________________
You can reload the file you have saved on your desktop.
Open up the stb link
Click Write Factory Data and get the saved file from your desktop.
There will be 64 blocks to upload.
When it's transferred to your box.
Unplug everything...power up the box...wait for green light....then plug in your TV and scart leads.
You will have to wait while
for it to unscramble.

Hi MoonWB,
The 742A file is compatable with both Replays.
I have used it on both boxe's and it always works.
it is especially good when you have to get a dead box working.
There is another "A" file 743A but I find the 742A better for kickstarting boxes.
In your case, back up your channels first.
Flash with 742A the 913.
If you are having problems with the flash.
Don't do the "set up Comm"
Untick the "Maintain User Data" box.
Ignore the error message that you get.
Select "Upgrade Software"
Get the 742A file and it will start to transfer to your box.
This is called forcing the flash and works for the Replay Lite too.
Then do the same with the 913.
When that flash is complete, load up your channels and favourites from your PC.
The channel file works for both boxes The Lite and PVR.

Make sure as always to wait for the rapidly flashing light.

Stblink
http://www.speedyshare.com/153660675.html
Replay Lite 910
http://www.speedyshare.com/401966274.html
Connect the null modem lead to the box and your PC.
(Null Modem Lead Part Number L71BT)
Open up the Stblink
Select Run.
Tick ?Maintain User Data?
Select upgrade software
Get the 910 file from your PC.
From when you see the blocks start to transfer.
It takes 4 mins for the box to be updated.
But make sure you see the led flashing much more quickly than it did when the blocks were transferring. If you leave for even 5 mins it will be OK.
When all the blocks are transferred WAIT a couple of more minutes for the led to flash much more rapidly than it did when you could visibly see when the blocks were transferring.
Unplug everything and only connect the power lead.
Wait for the led to flash red/green and then stay on green.
Then connect SCART and TV cables.
When the files are being transferred from your PC to the box, the led on the box will be flashing at this speed
Don't unplug the box until until you see it flashing at this speed

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Go to a premium channel and wait for the box to unscramble.
Please be patient as it does this.
Hi, I'm new to this, so please bear with me....
I bought the Replay Lite last week and followed the instructions above but to no avail.. :(
I had Ch**us (now U*C), in the north west of Ireland.
Files Used: STB6.0 and 910 file.
Doesn't find ANY channels.
Is it really important to have a L71 BT Null Modem lead??
Used a lead that the Systems guy gave me in work.
Cheer's M8ty Hi Brian,
I'm at stage 1 (back up channels first) but can not establish a connection to back up channel list?
On both Comm ports it say's "Com port open error"
I am sure I came accross this before and either tried another computer or kept swithching box off & on and clicking set up comm on the STB link and it eventually kicked in but it won't this time?
My box say's channel 67 on the LCD which makes me think it is not reading the fact that it's connected to a computer? What do you think?
Regards
Moon
