Before I call Sony and send this PSP back for repair I wanted to ask the experts.

My son was updating his PSP's firmware. During the update when it said "Do Not Turn Off / Interrupt / Disturb or what ever..." He Did. He turned the unit off thinking I guess he was to restart the unit. Can I recover the unit's software or force a reload or is it back to Sony?

Thanks for taking the time.

He is 14....

How do I reboot in recovery mode. I have done the following:

1) removed battery for 15 minute
2) started PSP by holding the on switch up for 10 seconds and then again (battery in)
3) same as #2 but with battery out

Thanks for the prompt reply!

lol thats pretty...well...stupid. And no you can't recover it usually unless it was custom firmware...which you should try and boot into recovery mode by completely turning off your psp and turning it back on while holding the R trigger.

You might have to buy the Undiluted Platinum, i think its around 80 usd, but thats better than the 230+ dollar psp. It works good because it unbricks it and i think it will help with more in depth modding later on. Have him pay for it, he jacked it up!!
