Try turning on your psp while holding the R button to get into recovery mode. You're saved if you can get into recovery.
P.S. - You should be able to because you only messed with the theme.

Okay, make sure when you do it you hold R, while doing that flick the switch up. Try it a couple of times and if it dosn't work, take it to school/work and when they ask why you have it or what it is say its a deluxe paper-weight.

you sure your holding R1 and restarting the psp, not just starting it up from sleep mode?
to make sure, take out the battery and restart the psp while holding the R1. if it still doesnt work, its definitely bricked.
...whatever

cant be fully bricked, unless you deleted a prx or two...if you were just messing with ur theme, ur psp is recover-able...
from the sounds of your posts above, you do not have your psp turned completely off...only in sleep mode..
...so, hold up the little power switch for about 12 seconds, the green "on" light should blink....
then, when cutting your psp back on, hold down the right trigger...
if you still can't get to recovery, then it is a user error...cause i have yet to fully brick an OE...really difficult...
