ok i've been finding that i can downgrade and then that i cant
ok i have a ic1006 hard drive and when i got my psp it was 2.5 so is it safe to downgrade????

well what firmware do you currently have? all firmware to 3.03 can be downgraded. anything higher cant.

i have 3.30 but when a downgrader comes out (if it does) is it safe to downgrade cuz my buddy keeps saying it will delete my needed firmware files
its with my hard drive i kno that ic1003 cant be downgraded but i have ic1006 or 9 so when a downgrader is out for 3.3 is it safe????

first off it is not a hard drive, its called flash(easier to type aint it?). and it is divided in to parts, most commonly known as flash0(houses firmware) and flash1(settings). since you have 3.30 and it sounds like you have a TA-082(to confirm look on the inside of the psp on the mobo when you open the umd door) if it is ic1003 then it is TA-082, but that doesnt really matter anymore. When you downgrade it will format your flash and install the custom firmware on the clean flash. just be patient.

* i have a TA-082 and i downgraded from 3.03. no worries. Just wait till a downgrader comes out for your firmware. AND DONT UPGRADE ANYMORE!!!
