Iam sorry you must get these thread a lot, and i understand its annoying but i wouldn't be posting this if iam not really stuck. Please help me
I have no idea how to do this..i tried reading the guides but that just got me more confuse..what is a firm ware devhook..??and what is all these 3.00 1.50 psp version? iam very confuse i understand i have to download Umdemulator is it? and update my psp to 3.00? but i have no idea how ..so please give me a basic explanation, thank you kindly.

okay my bad lol. First of all firmware IS your psp version, Devhook is an app type thing that lets you emulate higher firmwares and play ISO's among other things, You don't need umdemulator if you aren't going to use devhook, you can check your firmware by going to system settings and system information, you will need to downgrade if you want to get custom firmware, (which you can play ISO's more easily) and you can only DOWNGRADE UP TO 3.03. (you need to downgrade to 1.5 to update to custom firmware) Check your firmware and tell me what it is.

Oh thats good you can downgrade easy then! Do you want to downgrade to 1.5 and update to custom firmware allowing you to play ISO's?

Don't upgrade then and use a downgrader then upgrade to 3.40 oe-a so you can do more stuff on your psp. :|

wait wait check something for me...open your UMD drive and look at it from on the back of the psp and inside the drive look on the top right corner to check if you got a ta-82 board.

iwont downgrade it yet though cus i just ordered my 4gig mem card from ebay so it wont come til like 2 more weeks

then you update to custom firmware 3.40 Open Edition/OE and play away. ISO's go in the ISO folder in the root of your memory stick, oh and do you have any other memory card?

use the 60mb because 4gb don't work with 1.5, it will work when you update to 3.40oe though
Icons = long story ill tell you when you have 3.40oe

lol you dont downgrade the memory card, use your 60mb to downgrade your psp. use the 4gb when you upgrade to 3.40oe for whatever you want
