3.40 oe-a BIG PROBLEMS!!

hey please bear with me as this is my first post,
i have a import psp (usa) today i went from 2.71> to 1.5> 3.40 oe-a but my iso's never seemed to work, which ever one i put in! (i think its worth mentioning that UMDs DO play!) only tekken dark ressurection iso played once and never again, i have tried all sorts of things today, going down and up to various other custom firmwares, playing about with recovery settings, triple checking iso's are in iso folder, formating the flash 1 folder, what else can i do to get them to play? all i get is 'game could not be started' error, or a black screen, please help, im going nuts lol! i hate 3.40 oe-a GrRrR!!!!!!!!!!!!

of course, but i dont know, does it make a difference if the umd is a film and not a game? by the way, the 'no umd' option in recovery mode is already disabled

umm im sorry i dont kno what that means but im sure i didnt touch anything like plugins etc.

i havnt got a game umd but i will borrow one tommorw and will let you know what happens, i doubt it thogh, because i got it 2 work ONCE with my move umd...

yeah i got a game umd today and i tried the iso's on 3.40oe-a and also enabled the 'no umd' option, but now it just seems that only some of my iso's play, and most of them still dont, like mortal kombat unchained, GTA vice city stories etc.
is there specific settings i should have disabled and enabled in the recovery menu or is there other things i could do to get my iso's to play?

wait.....
DISABLE NO UMD not ENABLE. as in when u go to recovery menu it says disabled next to NO UMD.
if you did that, then it could be a problem with your memory stick. bought from ebay?

....because movie UMD's have regional restrictions that cannot be bypassed by cfw, and are partially why the noUMD option was implimented with the last few CFWs....

if some of your ISOs are working and the others arent den it could just be faulty ISOs.
Is some are working then i dont think theres nothing wrong, anyways i have never tooken out my game umd since putting it in there, i dont think its possible to use a movie umd either.

nah my other psp was faulty anyway, the laser didnt work bcoz the motherboard was messed hehe so i had to get rid of it! :D
can any of you guys help me out with my problem if it is faulty iso's? what do i do, could you add me on msn fatboykiller@hotmail.com n let me kno of new 'sources'? ;)

I had a different error with my I would get an error code and I had to power up into Recovery Mode and disable a UMD Option and all ISO's and CSO's work fine.
ON a note tough I found with some CSO's they worked better if I Un-Compressed them. Otherwise they would randomly freeze up on me.
PSP Info: Factory TA-082 F/W v2.71
Now: v2.71 -> v1.50 -> v3.40 OE-A

thanks pud1000 and frustrated not yet no because sony havent even released an update so how can there be a new custom fimware yet and anyway u cant beat the good old 3.03oe-c

just reinstall 3.03oe-c no need to downgrade if its still on ur mem stick or just get a winstaller to do for u i do they r good
