hi all,

im looking to hack my 360, by adding an internal 120gb hardrive. iv got everything needed, but the hddss.bin file. can anyone sort me out with 1? the file for a 120gb is preferable, but i guess any smaller model will do. thanks

If you get the hddss.bin file for the 20 GB, then the 360 will only see a 20GB drive. Even if you have a 120 GB drive, you can only use 20. However, if you obtain the 120GB HDDSS.bin file and use the drive specified in the Specialists guide, then you can use the full 120GB.

so u just want to change ur 20gb to 120gb. u can't run games of that incase your wondering and there is only one type of laptop 120 western digital that currently works.

as i understand it, with the right hard drive and right hdss.bin file i can get it reconigzed and working the same as a retail 120gb microsoft hard drive. what i need is the hdssbin file. i would prefer the 120gb one but the 60gb or 20 gb would do me fine :)

So basically you're just trying to obtain ANY hdd's ss.bin file (there are only 2 anyway, the 20GB one and the 120GB one)
It's actually against forum rules to ask where to locate copyrighted material so no one here is going to give you a direct link. Not too many people have a 120GB hddss.bin file anyway.

You could try searching various torrent sites both public and private.
Alternatively, you could try the newsgroups.
