Can anybody choose softwares that are the best for networking , protecting the PC from viruses and all these ....?

The best two free programs that come to mind are. Avast Antivirus and ZoneAlarm firewall. Give them a shot.

What other good softwares do you think i can use in a network of 7 computers ?

Thanks a lot these are realy good softwares. Do you think it is better to install Windows Server 2003 then setting the computers up and using a program to connect them ?
