Can you copy right a number i dont think you can, hence why intel stopped calling its cpus x86 after the 486 and then started to use the name pentium after they were told it was unable to do anything about the likes of amd/cyrix stamping their cpus with what was essentially the same numbers as you cant copy right a number.
So would it extend to hex, is it a language or a mathmatical or just plan math and hence a number/number refrence?

I'm not a lawyer, I don't even know any lawyer. But all this talk is not about thought. It's about money. It's about a group trying to get payed for a job that they don't do.
Even in the US you do not commit a crime if you KNOW a top-secret information. It's not the fact that you KNOW it that's illegal. It's the way one used to get that info that may be illegal.
If I say that Bush goes to the bathroom everyday at 13:43, if it happens to be true I'm sure that it would be a top-secret information, but what about it? Am I commiting a crime just because I made up something random that happens to be right ?

I guess you have never heard of 'political correctness', the food police, or the smoking Nazis just to name a few. By the way, if I had come across any top secret, national security information and the government found out that I have that knowledge, the FBI, CIA, and probably the local dog catcher would descend on me like a ton of bricks wanting to know who, what, when, and where I got such information and I would probably be convicted for having knowledge of such secrets. This would only happen if the knowledge I have was true. If it was something like Bush blew up the World Trade Center or caused the destruction of New Orleans, I would be passed off as a kook....
Actually, what a person thinks can be against the law.. In the United Studios of America there are hate crime laws. If one commits a crime against a protected type of person, building, or other property and the prosecutor can prove that one committed the crime based on hate, then whatever the penalty is doubled..[it hasn't been explained how the government handles the death penalty yet, do they execute the perpetrator twice or only half kill him once and then finish him off n the second go around...]
The point that I was, abet somewhat facetiously trying to get across is that the studios are controlling much of the politics here.
Politics IS the act of one group of people, usually in the name of freedom, telling another group how to live. In other words, I have to live your dreams instead of my own if you can garner the political power to control my life and it also works the other way around.
Most people do not react to political edicts until it is their lives that is being manipulated. When the same people that think nothing of attempting to force their way of life on others find themselves the target of a political movement, then things are different, unfair, unjust, unlawful, all the un****'s that one can think of. Charley Sheen is one example of such thinking. He could rail against some company, call for a boycott and hundreds of people lose their jobs. It didn't bother him in the least that he disrupted the lives of working people. Then he opened his mouth and angered a huge number of people, enough people that his TV show got shut down for a short time and he lost his livelihood. He immediately began crying how it was unfair, unjust, it was just not right that he should be punished for what he thinks. He should not lose his job because a bunch of people do not agree with his elitist ideas. Most people are like Charley Sheen in that they want to remake the world in their own image. Very few care how this effects other's lives in a real way. They all think that what makes them personally happy or content will make the other person feel the same way.
The above doesn't include the lazy, jealous, or others that the only way to be fair is to have everyone making the same amount of money, wear the same clothes, live in same size house regardless of skill, intelligence, or worth to society. This would be another argument................

That's my point. They would want to know the "who, what, when and where". It may be a top secret info, but if you got it in a way that is now against the law (it may have been published by mistake by some gov agency, or you might had read it in you tea leafs) you are not an outlaw just by KNOWing it.

Yes, even outside the US there is a think like "planning to commit a crime", even if you don't do it you may be guilty if someone can prove that you did in fact was PLANNING to do it. Note the subtil difference between "planning to do" and "thinking about it".

That's not my vision of Politics.
I belive that in the end they don't care about you think. They just WANT. I don't really understand what moves someone who wishes to get much more money than what they'll ever need, or getting more and more personal power... If I had a lot of personal power I wouldn't know what to do with it.

Not true. Most people care so little about the others that they don't even notice that what they do might affect someone's else happyness.
There was a Sci-Fi writter I still like to read that said something like "The fact that someone wants THE power should be the primary reason for he not giving it to him. THE power should be given to someone who don't want it, in the basis that if he did well he might be excused before the end of comission". I don't agree with a lot of Heinlein ideas, but this one is fun, and might just be true.
Being human nature what it is if someone wants something then he'll want more of that samething, even more...

We're closing to start talking about socialism vs comunism. In the paper they look to be nice projects. The basic mistake that both do is that they assume that everyone would be happy with the same things and to same extent with the same amount of that things.
Capitalism looks to be more realistic, the problem is that we're not having that either... :-(
