i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to make a lag switch because the regular switches dont work for me so if theres a differnet way then could you help me out ty:)

I hope like hell no one tells you how to make one, lag switch users ruin online gaming for legitimate users, it's the worst form of cheating and I hope you get banned(from online games) for it.

u cant get banned for lagging.............. i know how to make a good lag switch for my connection but it has its problems

You probably could get banned if enough people report you or something, I'm not sure how the PS2 online service works having only just got my PS3 online. No doubt there would be a few good sites if you try google, a long time ago there was a guy here that posted a link to a good site about building lag switches.
Its still cheating though, and you can be banned for cheatng.

I tried to make a lag switch out of a home light switch and it really didn't work that well, truth is it didn't work at all.
So I began a search on Google an found www.cheap-lag-switches.com that had serveral types of different Magic Lag Switches on their site. I ended up buying an Extreme 2-Button Magic Lag Switch because i read that it works great for the PS3 and even though it was a bit of a learning curve starting to use it, I've become a master at lagging now.
The really nice thing is that my new switch has push-button switches, I'm able to just bounce or tap the button every couple of seconds and no one really complains to me for lagging. They all think I have a slow connection so I get away with getting many, many extra kills, which is great for all my ranks and scores.
I would suggest that you check out that website instead of tying to make one one your own, it will save a lot of time and headache, which I really had a bad headach for an entire week trying to make mine.
Oh, one more thing... Getting banned, it will never happen... We have 30 members in our clan that have the same Magic Lag Switch, we use it on Resistance (PS3) and Socom: CA (PS2) every night and none of us have been banned yet. Shoot, I even use it on Halo 2 every now and then and never even had anyone ask about my connection speed, man I can get some kills on there too.
There is another place that sells the same exact Magic Lag Switch I bought, I think it's the same company but the lagging video is great example of what my Magic Lag Switch can do: www.bestlag.com

I agree with that,theres some stupid idiot online now (ps3) and he's made 4 of the five people playing leave through cheating somehow, and as this game requires a minimum of 4 players per round he's completely ruined the game. People that do this kind of stuff deserve to be shot repeatedly.

Let me respond to both Andrew691's and PeaInAPod's comments:
I too hated laggers, I hated them way back in the cord pulling days, but I then realized that the only way to truely beat them was to join them... Beat them at they're own game...
To be honest, we've been a top 10 clan on just about every ladder in the PlayStation community for years, we battle clean, no lagging, even when we're getting beat fairly... But, if a clan starts lagging or glitching, our gloves come off and we bring on the lag and pull the glitches, just so we're not out done...
Truely, if it's a regular game in a public room and we're bored, of course we're going to goof on everyone else, it's just fun to pull a few things out of the hat for the other team...
If everyone is so serious about competition, then everyone should setup a match or a battle a agree to play it clean, because if your in a public room... YOUR IN A PUBLIC ROOM and things are going to happen, like glitching and lagging and that is a fact of the online gaming world...
Sorry to break it to you, but nothing is going to change and with commercially built lagging devices just a click away, it's only going to get worse in all public room, no matter the platform or game...

That is not very friendly seeing that I'm new to these forums...
You know and I know that cheating and lagging is a large part of the online gamming world, why do you want to moderate what I admit to doing or have done? Do these forums you reference as "ours" not promote free speech ?
I've seen hundreds of links on here since I've joined here (reading most all of the threads too) and can't wonder why you have singled me out for post information on the thread subject...
Our these forums truly "our" to share information, or just "your to Moderate" ?

If it one that you've purchsed, most of them are a plug-n-play items unless your connection speed is really slow. Try rebooting your modem and router, then try the one that you already have again. Over time your connection natually slow down and rebooting both devices always helps, especially when trying to create lag...
