Having issues with too much noise generated form that F'in white disk from the flip-top lid, or finding that the alignment of the flip top lid isn't perfect enough to spin the disk without having the motor slippage?

I simply removed the white disk from the flip-top holder. After loading a dvd, I placed the disk directly on top of the dvd - worked like a charm and completely silent. The magnetic attraction of the white disk in this position provides sufficient grip to spind the DVD.

Oh, and one more thing = keep the flip top lid OPEN when using your PS2.
