well i have 3.40oe-a but today i discovered that my umd drive isnt reading umds, so for isos that require the umd to be in cant load, so is there any way u can load them?
can i go back to 1.5 fw and use devhook or can devhook load ALL isos without a umd?

devhook still requires umd, and i wouldn't even go back to devhook to play isos, its too much of a hassle and u cant even play ps1 games...try inserting the umd, but see if the iso runs

well u could try enabling no-umd in recoveyr menu, that lets u play w/o umd. the only problem is most games dont work. i would just get my umd fixed by sony or something

go to main menu > GAME > Scroll down and click Memory Stick and u will see the game > PRESS X to start game.

Note IF that dont work then make sure u already did these steps below:

First format your mem stick. This will create the correct folders. Then put your ISO's or CSO's in the ISO folder. Then just run them from the xmb under the game icon.

I have found for best performance you will want to diable the no umd option in the recovery menu. Boot PSP while holding the R button, then goto configuration look for "use NO-UMD" disable it. You will have to have a UMD in the drive for games to run with this disabled, but I have a lot of games that don't run with NO-UMD enabled.

Also go under advanced, advanced configuration. Make sure "Use isofs driver also in UMD - Inserted mode" is disabled.
Somehow mine got enabled after upgrading to 3.40oe-A and my iso's would no longer run. It took me awhile to find it. I just started poking around and crossing my fingers, and disabling that made them work again.

Hope this helps.
