i have heard different things about this and i want to know if it works or not. would i rip it the same way as an original?

yes. this'll work

i even made 1 one 1 copies on the fly using cloneCD.. this worked, but the quality of the game-DVD suffers alot from it.

and i made backups from backups using Xbox Backup Creator ,these worked very well.
