I have a ms25, so do I just take my original bin and copy it in the folder with fw 5.3 and make my new fw then add it to my formatted floppy, and reflash my drive over my 5.2 fw?

That's about it. Reflash over 5.2. Don't forget to put the drive in 0800 mode first.

I can never get my drive in 0800 mode so I just turn it off and on (like the MS28) and all works fine :-)

Do you not need to flash back to orig first and then flash to extreme? I always do but guess I've been wasting my time..lol

Not for the Samsungs. You can just patch the new firmware with your orig.bin and then reflash over the old hacked firmware.

what is 0800 enable? last time when i flashed over 3.3 to 4.2 all i did is just flash it over the old firmware. my question is do i have to do anything different for this firmware? and if so can you tell me how?

The older firmware did not have firmguard is why, for the newer firmware you will need to download 0800 enable disc file and burn it to a DVD +R DL to put it in 0800 mode, or if you have a via chipset you can apply the patches in XBM and do the 10 second trick.
