Hi tuesday im going to buy my own xbox360 (yay~~!)
So i still have allot of questions about the xbox360
I want to flash it after i brought this
My question is is every xbox available to flash i know that u need something to know about the Drives but my question is can every xbox360 be flashed?
My second question is Wich dvd brand is the best to use for xbox
And what dvds must i use? cause ive noticed that some games are over 4.7 gb must i use double layerd dvd's then?
My Third question
When i flash my xbox
And everything works can some of my dvd's kill my laser?
Like with PS2 (Ps2 is very fragile it killed my laser :( )
My last question
When i flash my Xbox 360 will the quality of my games reduce?
Thnx for answering my question~s!

1 - not every 360 can be flashed
2 - Verbatim DVD+R DL - dual layer discs
3 - cheap media or a bad burn may overwork the laser, resulting in premature laser failure
4 - you'll still have the same audio/video quailty as the original

But i still have some mroe questions
I hope u want to answer me
1. If i flash my xbox the seal wont be broken right?
So if my xbox dies or something i can still undo the Flash
And send it back to MS if i have the warranty
2. Can i play EVERY back up? without updating or any kind?
3. Not every xbox can be flashed? oh shit if i buy one do i have
a high chance that i buy an xbox that cant be flashed?

1)Your seal will have to be broken because you need to open the 360 in order to flash it. I'd recommend cutting the seal with a razor blade along the part where the front of the 360 opens so when you close it back it kinda looks like the seal is still intact(this has actually worked for me when I sent my 360 in to Microsoft for repair, THIS IS NOT GUARANTEED TO WORK THOUGH).
2)You'll have to update the game if your're on Xbox Live (that's if an update is available). It's perfectly safe to update your games.
3) More than likely if you buy a Core or Premium 360, about %95 of the time it'll be a flashable drive. If you go and buy an Xbox 360 Elite then you'll have a higher chance of getting a non-flashable drive. The Elites currently have two non-flashable drives.

Currently Ben-Q and Hitachi 0079FK firmware are unflashable, however I may be wrong about the 0079FK. I heard it has been updated to work with this drive.
Also, I can not stress this enough. Backup your drive's unique key before you do anything. If you screw up the drive, your Xbox will be useless without the drive's key.

moonslash: You might wanna reconsider flashing your 360 if you wanna play the multiplayer games on xbox live. Many people that have flashed 360s are getting banned from xbox live. Just a thought.
