Will be as easy as put in the movie and click start. Test the trial version of xpress and see for yourself. Gold is simply xpress and dvdxcopy packeged together.

You can do it with xcopy gold but you do realize that it will not compress the dvd. Commercial dvds are dvd9 or dual layer dvds that contain 9.4 gb of info. Xcopy gold will not compress and to get them to fit on one dvd (single layer or dvd5) you will need xcopy platinum or express if you want the simple way to do it. If you don't mind a little more effort I would recommmend dvdshrink and a burning program (e.g. Nero or recordnow)

I am not impressed at all w/ X Copy Gold and I have found the easiest and best way is to use DVD Shrink to compress the DVD and then burn w/ Nero 6. Don't mean to be a dick, but you are not supposed to be burning DVD's from a rental store.

Don`t mean to be a dick either , but when you recommend that someone uses DVD Shrink . You are telling them to do something that depending on where they live may be illegal.

One other thing , do you think it is very wise to admit that you use DVD Shrink ???
Jack Valenti and his boys are no doubt monitoring this forum and taking names and making lists.
Don`t let this happen to you :
Quote: RIAA announced that it has so far settled 52 of the 261 lawsuits filed against P2P file sharers earlier this month. The exact settlement amounts were not specified, but experts estimate payments ranging from $2,500 to $7,500 each, which would add up to $250,000.

WTF, taking names & making lists? DVD Shrink can be used to back up personal DVD's, at least where I live anyway.

You can do anything you want? But when you do be prepared to accept the consequences!!
I quote Baretta : " Don`t do the Crime , If you can`t do the time "
The rest of your question needs clarification....

To Answer the question "Can it Copy Rentals"
Not Legally. You are asked by the program if the DVD is Borrowed or a Rental. When you answer truthfully you will know for sure.
