Backing up Gamecube games for the Wii

I did a search in this forum and google and came up with a guide in the Gamecube forum but my question differs and did not find a thread that answers my question -- I want to backup a gamecube game to play in my wiikey installed wii. I successfully backed up a wii game and it works perfectly.

Would the process be the same (as the Gamecube guide) if it?s going to be on a DVD-R? If someone can please point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

use rawdump or the wiikey app to dump it to an sd card
then just burn the iso et voila

I been doing some research and found someone saying the WiiKey have problems playing backup Gamecube games. Is there any truth to that?

it's the same method as the wii games i tried it 2day w soul calibur and it worked flawlessly.

^ Thanks! I'm glad I dont have to buy anything else for it (like the requirements for the Gamecube). Its also great that it works on a regular DVD! :)

some games have problems yes but the update will probably fix that

Update the Wiikey to 1.9b will fix a lot of gamecube problems.
