Yea, I"m new to this, I have a japanese white PSP Firmware 3.01
I've been reading around, some sites say I can't some say I can.

You tube has videos of people playing final fantasy 7 on their psp, I'd like some help please to exactly how I can do that.

I know I need some sort of downgrade so I guess we can start from there?

use the tutorials in my signature...

You'll need a copy of an unpatched GTA:LCS with the 2.00 update (you can rent one if you dont have)
Copyright 2005 = unpatched
Copyright 2006 = patched
But double check to make sure it says game update ver 2.00

Follow the tutorials in this order

1. downgrade from 3.03 to 1.50 (it has the file needed to get to 3.03 in the tutorial)

2. upgrade from 1.50 to 3.03 oe-c

that would be the patched version...the patched version doesnt have the necessary exploit needed for the downgrader. Sony made the 2.60 to prevent people from using that exploit. So you'll have to rent a copy with the 2.00 you could probably ask the clerk if you can test the game to see that its the one you need.

is there anyother way to downgrade besides the GTA:LCS?
I just bought a version that had the copyright of 2005 but its a patched version...

and the block busters around here don't carry that game anymore because of the hack exploit
