good luck mikeismad, hope you can figure out something.
Personally i am hoping i am not banned, at least until my year that i paid for is up. If not it was only like $45 so no real big deal. But i have been playing my Rainbow Six Vegas online like crazy just in case. (MS28 with stealth back up). We will see if the theory that an MS28 with a stealth back is truly showing as stealth.

Yeah, the only difference is that 3 hours later, they banned me.

Hey guys.... just kinda wondering, my 360 is flashed but i am not banned yet.. so with that in mind i think i want to flash back to my orginal.bin soo im not for sure if this is right correct me please.. OK make a flash through bootmaker... than do i replace the hacked firmware that was just created, with the org.bin??? So should all i have in my new bootmaker is the sam read and sam hack etc.. and than should i have my original.bin in the file instead of new hacked one??? Please guys correct me if i am wrong... If correct just tell me.. Also i have the ms28 i flashed with the 52 c and still not banned... right now my friend has it and has been playing it with the orginal games so does that matter???

To flash back to your orig.bin you will just need your mtkflash files boot to your thumbdrive or whatever you use with your mtkflash files and your orig.bin and at the command type mtkflash.exe w /sata /m orig.bin to flash the orig back on the drive. I dont know if doing this will help you at all though being that you could've already been flagged and just havent got banned yet. I have ms28 with 5.3 and ive still not been banned. Im not going to try flashing back now.

I really would not go flashing back and forth between firmwares. That will give you a higher risk of getting caught if in fact the 360 does log changes to the system. If you just stick with Extreme firmware and stealth back ups you MAY be ok. But i think there have been a few cases of people being banned flashing back to original firmware. Heck people with unmodded consoles have been banned. (or at least they thought it was unmodded which could be faulse if they bought it used somewhere like Ebay)

read through this whole post. I am sure you will find people who swapped their DVD drive and were still banned. Everything that came on the console is locked to that console. So MS will still know.

Finally figured out why I was banned. Went through all the games I have burnt, and my favorite one wasn't stealth patched. the video.iso file was missing. Ain't that a BITCH. LOL
Anyway, it's now all patched up and waiting for my new 360 to test with.

I could've sworn I used XDVDMulleter to test all these before. Must have slipped my eye.

Yeah right now I am sticking to the only game I have sued thus far which is R6. Every time I put in a new game other then that I disconnect the cab;e. Probably does not matter but I am not taking any chances. Plus the only game I care to play online is R6. Amazing you can play the same map in this game a million times and it does not get boring!

So that explains why your bro was banned too. That makes it look more clear stealth firmware on a Samsung with totally steal backups equals no bans as long as you aren't playing pre-releases. I know double checked all my backups after my ban. Again the 2nd Samsung MS25 360 I flashed 6 days ago is still running strong on Live.

Yes, because there's been one consistent thing during the bannings. Every Samsung user who's hasn't been playing pre-releases and only using backups that are absolutely 100% stealth are still on Live. GaryOPA backs it up that should be the case. I know of several Samsung users including myself who flashed new 360s after the bans just using stealth back ups that aren't banned while there have been brand new 360 newly flashed since the bans that didn't follow all the current guidelines for staying unbanned that got banned.

Yeah I honestly think this new FW will that prevents loading of non-stealth backups will be good for the scene.
I wish I could guarantee another MS28 but I'd actually rather have a BENQ or Hitachi 0079 so I won't be tempted to mod. I want to go legit but as long as I have an option NOT TO, I probably won't.

C'mon don't kid yourself PS2menace. You don't want to go legit. If you really did it wouldn't matter what drive you got. There's no need to feel guilty about it though. I don't want to go legit either. Why would or should I? Besides the obvious benefits, it's fun getting consoles to do what these mega powerful companies don't want us to do with them. There is something to be said for hacking for the thrill of hacking.

IF I GET BANNED I CAN'T AFFORD A NEW CONSOLE!!!
lol thats true if i do i might give up gaming! maybe pc gaming i will go to but it isn't getting so much good games anymore.

I haven't gone on live before the spring update just to play safe! i think i might put me head up, try to go over the top and get hit by the microsoft sharpshooters! ATLEAST i will BE free!!!! or should i even bother waiting for the new firmware? because i think there won't be a point since ms has a program to analyze the firmware to see if there are any changes if anything is different from other drives of the same brand other then the unique key ofcourse they will BAN!!!

Well bro, I look at it this way. I've been modding consoles for the purpose of playing burnt games since the PS1 (with CD's) and breaking off the chip so the Japanese Mario Bros. 3 would work in my NES and after all these years I've found that I don't enjoy the games like I used to. Part of this reason is because the thrill of going out and buying an anticipated game is gone. Now I can just download and burn. It has its benefits yeah, but I really need to show these 2 sons I have that it's better to do things the right way.
Everything I do in life is all legit. I work 12 hour days, 6 days a week to support my wife & kids. I pay all my bills on time. I have college funds started for the little ones. I owe no credit card debt. Actually the only VISA I have is a reloadable VISA ;)

I just know this much. I tend to enjoy the games more and play them longer when I purchase them.

target audience for 360 is older male. but man ps2menace show your kids its a cruel world out there and teach them a lesson about those capitalist pigs out there. Definalty don't go legit. As far as i see it this banning is just one little bump in the unrestrained road up to this poiny, since the 360 scene has began. And its no fun if it's all smooth sailing right? There is more sweetness to come fo sho.

veyr nice sig, ddp is gonna yell at u though.

well coming from the mouth of a teenager who really hasnt ever held a "real" job, you seem to be the best form of role model your kids could ever have. i fully understand how you feel about going legit as an example that your kids should follow in your footsteps. my first modded console came in the for of the black box from MS. i didnt mod for the fact i could get bootleg games for free, i did it because of homebrew. i still buy most of my games because its nice to actually wait and earn the money for it.

Oh I plan on showing them it's a cruel world and how to deal with it but not this way. I was planning to sell everything and go legit before the bans even came. I just don't enjoy gaming like I used to. Tecmo Super Bowl was the best game in my opinion ever, I saved like a month to buy it. I have that memory. I don't have many memories like that anymore. Going legit is more for me... I sleep better at night knowing that I don't have to look over my shoulder. I take pride in all that. I want my kids to also take pride in knowing "how" to hack shit, but still doing the "right" thing. It's hard to explain to you guys.. I hope this helps.

And yes, I will still have a 360 to play around with, mod, and trick out. I'll just buy the games I KNOW I want. i.e. NCAA Football 08, Madden, the next FN. ect..
