Latest Official Firmware able to downgrade?

Heya guys, I was wondering, what is the latest official firmware ppl can downgrade from?
So far i think it's 2.80 but I can be wrong!
Also, it has to be able to downgrade to 1.50 in order to upgrade to the 3.30/3.40 oe firmware!

The latest you can downgrade is 3.03 but you need GTA:LCS unpatched.

Is there a specific reason as to why you need GTA?
Is it to boot the psp games, cos i use Monster Hunter to do that.

hey Andrew nice thread brother i was just having same questions in my mind
But please some 1 answer me these question it will really be helpful
what is the latest firmware that can be downgraded to 1.5 for TA-082 motherbord ???
And what do i require ???
And glenquag u said that 3.03 is the latest frimware that can be downgrade to 1.5 its for TA-081 or TA-082 ???
And can u please please please guide me to the picture tutorials for the downgrade coz i am new i have only downgrade 2.71 (TA-081) and now i am having 2.8 (TA-082) that i need to downgrade

it works for both. i used it to downgrade my TA-079 like 5 times, and i used it to downgrade my friends TA-082. it just takes an extra step. it says on the screen that u it needs to patch ur mobo before it downgrades. it worked every time for me, and i never used winstaller

Up to 3.03
and TA-082 - TA-086 work now if I'm not mistaken

3.03 is the latest firmware capable of being downgraded. It works on all motherboards to this date. You can use the link in my signature to downgrade from 3.03 to 1.50 then use the link to upgrade to 3.03 oe-c if you wish.

I believe it is TA-079 to TA-086 because i used the 3.03 downgrader on my friends PSP and it worked no problem, it was TA-079.

can u guys please tell me how can i make out which version is my psp motherboard i know how to make to TA-081 (which dosent has number on the umd side ) and TA082 which has the number no Umd side but how to know these motherboards TA-079 , TA-086

can any 1 tell me how to check if ur motherboard is TA079 i know how to check TA-081 and TA 082 how to check the other motherboards and staxx ur downgrader from 3.03 to 1.5 is for TA-082 i need 1 for TA-081

Check here.
If you have any text in the selected are, they you have a TA-82 or 86 Motherboard and just have to downgrade a little differently.
If you don't have any visible clearly visible text, then its some other motherboard and you can downgrade "normally".
Bottom line is that 2.81 - 3.03 Any motherboard = you need GTA:LC (a early version that has the 2.0 update in it, later ones wont do since they are patched.)
Any earlier PSP firmware version have downgrade programs available.

great dude got it some psp shown these letter are Ta082,86and 17
just 1 more thing to downgrade 3.03 TA-080 u need to go through same process as TA-082 or its different

Correct me if I'm wrong but its the same.
Only thing is the downgrader wont ask you to patch the motherboard.
