a lil while a ago i got the dreaded disc read error message. I did my research and found out how to clean the laser and all the other stuff. It didnt work, so i left it. Last night, i was looking at it again but i found out how to asjust those white pegs. I toyed around with those things a for a while, afteer a short time i got to the point where the playstation 2 screen would load. After the screen went away, it would jus stay black. The disc was still spinning but the screen would stay black after the ps2 screen. Can someone please help.

I have version 10 ps2 with a matrix infinity modchip

If the modchip has a "turn off" function try that. you might also want to try increasing the voltage thru the POTs but only by a notch. If you turn it too high you will fry your laser. It should only be used as a last resort. Hope that helps.
