dropped psp in water

i dropped my psp i some water for a few seconds a week ago and still havent got it to work(i can hear the prosesore turn on alittle bit some times but nothing happens).Can anybody help?

i dont think theres a way to fix that, sorry.
you should have waited about a week before turning it on so it dried off, because water+electricity=disaster

put it in a bowl of rice that hasnt been cooked for a week then try to turn it on...thats what i did with mine and it worked fine!

Go buy a screwdriver, if it works, it would be much cheaper than buying a new PSP

well would it still work even after about almost 2 weeks (ricebowl thing) even though my psp "seems" like its dry, but still not working!?!

You shold open it up i have computer parts that look like crap because of water damage and just clean them up and everything and it just work fine.

Yeah you can send a keyboard through a dishwasher and as long as it drys fine before you turn it back on it will be okay. Now I am not suggesting that you send your PSP through the dishwasher I am just saying theres hope. Now you may have possibly short circuited your motherboard. But as one member suggested let it sit in some uncooked rice for a while as the rice will pull all the moisture off the parts.

When you turned it back on, you fried some circuits. So try drying now won't work.
#1: 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 3.11 DoH (no more :D)
#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c
#3: Ceramic white 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.40oe
Whatever happens, happens...

I think a good way to go would be those desicant packs found in so many food products (the back that says: DO NOT EAT!!!)

Don't try anything else. Go buy yourself a pack of rice for $2 or borrow some from a neighbor. Remember you want the entire PSP to be covered.
And while I am telling you how to do this I am 98% sure that you fried your PSP when you tried turning the power on while it was still wet.

Also for future reference, whenever you drop electronics in water, take out the battery IMMEDIETLY. Dry it, and it should be fine.

if u can at least turn it on let the thing totally run out of batteries let it sit for a week then totally recharge it. when i owned a psp that is what i did, and that is what u do with ipods
