OK I have never used XBL nor will I ever will, but the other day I played MLB 2k7 and it forced me to install an update otherwise I couldn't play the game.


Does anyone know what purpose is for the M$ offline updates?

Also do you think there would be the case of an offline game update to cause the same mess as what's happening to XBLs currently.

offline updates are to increase the functionality of your Xbox, wether you have access to live or not.

the XBL banning wouldn't affect you if u don't use it, now would it?


so no you couldn't have the exact same mess.

edit> u don't need 2 threads about this anyway.....and what are u worried about them blocking out? bootleg games? cuz all they're able to do now is block ur live access, and since you'll never use XBL then it's of no concern to you.

THX! My question was more of does anyone see the possibility of these updates (like the one on MLB 2k7) have the ability to shutdown a modded 360 system where you can't use it at all? TIA!
