i was playing DJ Max Portable 2 and there are a few songs when i play, it worked fine for about 1 min but then the background started messing up and the sound glitches... any body know the reason? i also tried on the official sony firmware 3.11 through devhook and the same thing happened. I don't hear any body have a problem with this game.

Some ISO have problems...ive had a few that just freezes PSP. Sometimes it depends on the firmware and the Config options like no umd option in recovery mode...if u are running Custom firmware

Dj max expert here. For it to run you need to ENABLE NO-UMD.
Also run it in cso format. Now the game will run with out problem, but the opening movie and mv will still lag.

To fix the movie lag, you need to reformat your ms to FAT. Connect your memory stick to your pc. Go to Start menu -> Run, type in cmd hit enter.
In the dos window that comes up type in format e:/ fs: FAT
e:/ is your ms drive letter. say yes to anything it pops out.

Now it will run flawless

#1: 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 3.11 DoH (no more :D)
#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c
#3: Ceramic white 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.40oe
Whatever happens, happens...

well. my memory stick always in FAT16 which is the fastest. i read about it too. The file is in CSO and i tried DJ Max Portable 1 (With NO-UMD: disabled) and it runs perfectly unlike DJ Max 2. i will check it out.

Any confirmation that this helps?

Also, i would like to state out that fat16 has a file/partition limit of 2gm, so dont go formating an 4GB or larger mem card to fat16, any smaller ones are ok.

yeah thanks it works great. and you misunderstand something.

FAT16 only supports 2GB max on WIN9X and WINME but WIN2000 and XP supports 4GB because of the new 64KB cluster.

do you know anything about psx games? i reflashed my psp from 3.40oe-a (customized) to 1.50 and then back to original 3.40oe-a. Now when i load the psx eboots. it says the game could not be started. there is no key.bin though. only the eboots since Simple GUI 3.00 includes the key.bin inside the eboots so... i don't know what's wrong now. Thanks for the help.

ahh true, my brain just automatically thinks fat16=old dos = 2gb. :)

remember hearing that 64kb doubled the size restriction... That are of my brain is full of cobwebs from the lack of use. ;P

and sorry, not much of a emulator person. :(
