ok so i went to try and do the firmware hack for the Hitachi drive.

I dont think i booted everything up in the correct order.. but I got slax loaded up had to login and then didnt know what option to use after i logged in, never saw anything about it in tutorials.. so i chose reset and restarted computer and now windows wont load at all.. just constantly resets itself at the loading bar.


HELP??

if you mean this is happening while your 360 drive is still connected then you have to ejct the tray before the windows loading bar appears.

it keeps rebooting regardless if the 360 drive is still connected or not now.

Make sure your boot order is set correctly, should be harddisk first then cdrom.

yea the same thing happened to me when you change the boot order to boot from CD Rom first. Once you change it back you should be ok.

this is how I turned everything on.

turned pc on
waited for slax to load
then turned on the xbox
