I downloaded a game for my ps2. And it has 42 rar files and i used WinRAR to extract them and then when it got done i have a file now that's a 4.37 mdf file. Shouldn't i came up with a iso file or not. Can some tell me what to do with the mdf file cause i dont' kow what to do with it.
Burn it. It's basically the same thing as an .ISO file.
.MDF is Alcohol 120%'s proprietary disk image format. You can use Alcohol 120% to burn the image.

there are so many reasons why your game may not have worked. And to get answers you have to provide a lot more information.
1. what game was it
2. what brand and speed are the DVD's you use (Like Philips 8X DVD-R)
3. what speed did you burn it at
4. what mod other then Swap Magic do you have
5. have you made any working back ups
6. does your DVD burner have the latest firmware that is available for it

NOTE: The Way I Am Using Swap Majic Is A Little Diff Then The Norm. I Have A Exploit On My Mem Card And I Put In A Ps1 Disc Then It Opens Up A White Screen Then I Go To Swap Majic.elf File That I Have On My Usb And I Click On It Then Swap Majic Boots Up.
well i have never used that method so the other mod may not be needed. The other mod would be for people using the swap magic discs. You need a way to be able to swap between the Swap Magic and the back up without the PS2 resetting.
The firmware on your burner is important, if it is not up to date then it may cause you problems when burning.
Sony is OK media but not great. And you should really try DVD-R first as only the V9 PS2 will read the DVD+R 100% of the time. Anything abouve a V4 should, but they do not always do well. And if the disc max speed is 8X or above then i would burn the back up you make at 4X speed.
also NBA street may need to be rebuilt for it to work with Swap Magic. Some games do. I have read that you can use Cogswap (DVD games) or CDloader (CD games) instead of swap magic and that they do not require you to rebuild games.
just a few things to look into before you waste a lot of discs.
