Battery life with .iso vs UMD?

I'm curious if running the UMD drive takes up a significant amount of battery life. Does anybody notice a difference in battery life when using isos instead of UMDs?

I definitely notice a difference in battery life. I ran about 4~5 hour with umd before switching to OE. Now I can run 5.5 ~ 6 hours. With extended battery, I can run 7 hours easy. I know because I travel alot, and use plane ride to guage the battery life.

but if ya do a lil bit everyday its better.

Yea, it has to do with UMD motor constantly turning.
