Im in dublin and my dbox would not work for the whole day,i read on another forum that the cable companies were changing the keys.

I usually run newcamd but it wont work now and neither will evocam,the only one that will work is mgcam,They other two display a picture and sound for about 30 seconds and then nothing but a black screen even after restarting them.I was wondering if anyone nows how to fix this or do they take longer to update or what,cause i prefer newcamd to mgcam?

Check the log output via nullmodem cable to see whats going wrong.

If you never done a bootlog from the box telnet is maybe easier.
Telnet to box and type killall newcamd. Restart with the command newcamd

I think the problem is that N*L have/are in the process of changing the keys they use. MGcam is the only one that works at the moment.

I think we're going to have to wait until some nice chap develops a new version of evocam or newcam.

It depends which newcamd/evocamd versions are installed and which rom versions.
Only with installed rom7 files all version should be functional.
