I can't get my WMP to share files for some reason, when I click OK after saying it's ok to share my media nothing happens. Anyway I was wondering if there's another to setup streaming to the ps3.

CyberLink MediaServer works well for me, i couldnt get wmp11 working aswell myself for some reason,

Yeah on my laptop I got it to work, but on my desktop I click ok and nothing happens...

I played about with WMP11 all morning and had no joy.
I gave Nero Media Home a try and it worked fine and was very very simple to use. If anybody has any problems then I suggest they give Nero a try.

you have to let wmp11 know which folders you want to share then have the new update for ps3 then have the ps3 set up for media sharing then let the ps3 scan for your files.

using Nero media home, took 5 mins to sort it.will try tversity also .can you pause with Nero .

Am having runtime problems with Nero 7.9.6.0... shouldnt have upgraded. :(

Can you send files from your pc to your ps3 this way, or just like watch video's and stuff. Because it would be nice if I could put backed up data to my pc without a jump drive/memory stick.

Actually you can, when you go into the folder, hit whatever button to bring up the side bar menu and copy > destination on mine shows external HDD....

yeah i just found out so far that anything streaming to your ps3 you can copy to its hard drive.

I download tversity and i added my music folders. It recognizes all of my folders and songs but when it finally gets to the mp3 file it says unsupported data and will not play the song. Anyone else having this problem or no how to fix it?

got Nero premium to work fine . then i borrowed from the net .not demo version a copy of v7.9 reloaded i think ,not so good now .got the first one to work without Nero scout i think .picked a file .server is running all was good .bollox 30 gig of married with chidren season 4 to finish .well fkt off.cost too much to put on dvd ..

going to go back to Nero premium .worked first time .must have got lucky with it .was set up and so sweet ,cant stream shit now .will re do at the w/e .a sticky would be nice if anybody can give the exact settings for premium .well fkt off .

wmp11 nor Nero 7 will recognize my ps3 as a networked device and i dont know why at first i thought it was my router blocking my pc from talking to my ps3 but when i booted up linux on my ps3 i went into network and was able to see my pc so i dont know any help at this point would be great

Ive been hearing about tversoity but is it web based like orb because i want real streaming and not through a website i just dont understand why i have tried 2 different apps and i cant get anything else to work but for some reason when i turn on the connection for media service in my ps3 my bluetooth headset will not function properly in my opinion 1.8 is a lil buggy because if i turn off my media connection it works fine not to mention that there are so many people who cant connect at all like or their internet connection goes buggy ang logs them on and off psn me i smell 1.81 in the works
