CAn someone Explain what a psx emulator is and how much memory it takes up

Playstation Emulator, it's built into the OE firmwares above 3.XX and it's built into the Sony Firmware's above 3.XX as well, the games are what takes up the size, as they're decent sized, usually...what firmware you got.

I have a 3.40(waiting for a downgrade for it) and i have a 1gb memory card should i but a bigger memory card

how do I get devhook 0.51v to recognise the iso/cso that I have put onto the memory stick.
