I know what you mean..I personally used flash agent on my first psp-and recommend it to new users because it is automatic, and its relatively safe to use...But if you are a bit more computer literate, and know how to copy and paste, and can rename files-then the other option is the way to go..I mean, the most space you can really free up before you have to start disabling your web browser and other features is around 4.7MB-which is plenty, even if you use those more advanced themes...Speaking of which, you can find theme packs on qj.net-they have a few big packs with a bunch of different themes in them...

yes, you can do both...just remember if you play Japanese games though, the font wont show up...
But by doing both of those things I pointed out earlier-you gain about 4.5MB of space which is enough for XMB themes- be careful this time-and dont try deleting any other files in flash0!!! OK??

The gameboot.pmf file and the opening_plugin.rco go into the VSH/RESOURCE folder just copy them over and overwrite the ones that are in there...Those files are safe and dont brick...its the topmenu_plugin.rco file you need to be careful with...That one can semi-brick if its the wrong one...But of course if you backed up your original files that wont be an issue!

No, thats not normal...If you put a different gameboot and opening_plugin in the resource folder-it should show something different that what you had on there...

Thats right-gotta have the skip SCE intro enabled or your opening plugins and gameboots wont work..I am not sure about the game sharing as I dont use it-I know you have to have your settings in sync with the other psp you are connecting with and on the same channel via ad-hoc mode..You would set that up in your network settings..You might want to start a new thread, or search for "game sharing" using the search function at the top of the page..

LOL,well first giving resource files are illegal, and second you can recover it yourself.It's a semi-brick.Like people said, downgrade it to 1.5 then upgrade to the version you want.It's called re-flashing.I recovered my PSP in 5 mins.If you want to be taught how to reflash by a pro then click here
The downgrade is 100% safe no bricks whatsoever.Hope i helped :)
My PSP Life-
2.71-> 2.80-> 3.11-> 3.50-> 1.50-> 3.40OE-A
Bricked before then recovered by Re-Flashing.

You can send it back to Sony or you can sell parts of it.You can try solutions to see if there was something wrong with your PSP(Like try pressing the backlight button or take the battery out and wait, etc.)All i can do to help.I'm a bit new of PSP but I'm getting close to knowing everything about it.I still don't know what Motherboards and all that do though.=/

You have to scroll down about half-way on that page, and click the orange download button and select "save" to save it to your computer.

That wont work-You'll have to use the recovery eboot to restore your flash files...You can find that HERE Once you download it, put the RECOVERY folder inside the ms0:/PSP/GAME folder-Then go into recovery mode and run the third option "run program at PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP-This will flash your psp back to 1.50, from there you can re-install the custom firmware of your choice..
