I have a partially bricked NTSC wii with a Wiikey. The only PAL game I tried playing was Tiger Woods 07 which I guess did it. My wii settings screen just goes black and some games do not work.
I got a real copy of Big Brain Academy, but when I start the game up and that little guy is talking, it freezes after a few seconds. Are there any other games with updates or will I have to wait for new games to come out with newer updates?

I have brick my Wii with with Mario Striker Charged. Now i have error when i go into my Wii Setting Menu. I also also tried to use BBA NTSC (JAP)on my Wii but there was not update prompt. My question is where can i check the current version of my Jap Wii Set?. Can Donkey Kong NTSC Jap fixed this problem or do i really have to sit back and wait for newer firmware?
Regards,

Hey everyone,
I just downloaded this "NTSC" version of mario strikers for my usa version of wii:
edited by ddp
I am an hesitant to use the cd because I read in a previous post that a mislabeled version of the game is floating around (says its NTSC but is really PAL).
my question is: Is there any way to check the iso file to see if it is really NTSC or PAL?
I have burned more than 10 games so far with no problems and this is the first time I'm hesitating because of what I've heard about bricks with this game. I know that as long as I keep to the same region I should be safe... but then how does Metroid give so many people problems? (I still want to burn that game but am avoiding it too).
Thanks!

If you're worried about mis-labled games bricking your Wii, just use your original NTSC copy to play.

I decided to try and run the Vortex copy of Strikers charge on my 3.0u Wii with a Wiinja installed and when it prompted me to update I agreed. I am able to play the game no problem and it didnt brick my Wii
**so as long as your firmware exceeds that of the update included in the game it seems like it won't cause a problem.**

GREAT NEWS!!! It does work, but one thing...for some reason, I still don't get access to delete the extra channels that I got when I semi-bricked with my Mario Striker NTSC-U. When I go to the channel setting for my Wii, I don't see any channels there. Is anyone experiencing the same problem?
