Soul! thanks a lot man! After formatting it, there was a game150... the whole process of upgrading was successful. Now I'm just transferring bleach (it's long as hell, over 20 mins to tranfer), and hopefully it will work.

hey, i'm a bit confused here... you stated that to play Bleach: Heat the Soul 4, i need to update my firmware to 3.40 right? but when i was about to download the update from psphacks, it states that 3.40 will make my psp lose all homebrew compatibility. does it happen to you guys?

you need firmware 3.40 oe-a,the custom edition of 3.40.
you can get it on psphackes under custom firmware
on which firmware are you now?

I have 3.10 OE-A and I get the same message. Do you think upgrading to 3.40 would help, and how would I do this from my current firmware?

PLEASE HELP!!
I'm trying to update, and I made the data and put it into the flasher folder, then when I try to update screen goes black and im returned to main menu!

No4Rocket, sorry I'm so late to answer, but I am quite busy this week. Anyways, you're trying to play bleach heat the soul 4 right? Well, when updating, do the following steps, ok?
1.) Go to usb mode and plug in a USB. Cut and paste any music, videos, or other games you have and get them out of there.
2.) Go the main menu, and format your memory stick.
3.) Once done, follow his guide, and listen up, if you can't find all the files, go to this link... cuz I think his 3.4 eboot's link is all wrong http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=383.
4.) DO IT STEP BY STEP, AND CAREFULLY READ THE DIRECTION: I dunnno how many retards have messed up the cycle because they can't read directions.
5.) If you have any problems within step 4, be specific and tell me.
You're lucky I have good grammar and speach, else you'd have to do what I did and keep asking and asking... lucky bastard...

yes you can.
As this is for upgrading to 3.40oe-a
so any firmware u using now doesn't really matter

it does matter if your psp has no homebrew compatibility. i tried upgrading my friend's psp to 3.40oe but it doesn't work. so in the end i had to bring it down to a gaming shop with my friend and get it upgraded to have homebrew compatibility. you gotta upgrade it at a shop to have homebrew compatibility before you can actually run any oe upgrades or actually play any homebrew games or whatsoever. oh, and you gotta format the memory stick too.

you might want to try souless's instructions. that happened to me also when i tried playing AVP Requiem, but i'm too lazy to fix it or whatsoever.
