I am planning on ordering a wiikey but I have a question about playing gamecube games on it. Will it work if I burn more than 1 gamecube game onto a DVD+R or am I limited to 1 game per dvd? Seems like a waste of dvd if it's 1 per. Thanks

This is a wrong statement!

I have always used Sony DVD+R to burn both Wii and GC games and they work flawlessly.

Try the "-" secondly I have never used anything else but that and have never had a single problem, next have you been able to play any sort of Back-ups? wii or GC? Lastly stay the hell away from the Compression tool it will cause nothing but unneeded headaches, just use the MultiGame tool and you should be able to fit 3 on the disc, also where are you getting these GC games from?

that certainly wouldn't be the problem, but it wouldn't hurt to upgrade if your not already at 1.2ver

Last night I tried a DVD-R and it also didn't work.

Do I have to have the classic controllers plugged in or anything?

Tell me how you burned the .iso gamecube file. Like what program, what speed, what DVD media.

I used three different media, ritek, tdk and imation none of them work.

One of the files was already an iso so I used a program called imgburn and also Nero and used the 'burn image' option.

That didn't work.

Another file was a .gcm so all i did was change it to .iso and burnt using Nero with the 'burn image' option.

Neither worked.

Does PAL/NTSC matter?

OK, this is what you have to do.
1. Get better media like Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden
2. Use ONLY ImgBurn for your GC and Wii burning
3. If your Wii is NTSC then get NTSC games, if it's PAL get PAL games ONLY. It's ok to play JPN-NTSC games on a US Wii though, shouldn't have any problems.

Anymore questions?

That's all fine but why do my wii games work when I burn on any media and use Nero but my GC games wont work?

Will NTSC GC games definately NOT work on PAL wii's?

Is it possible to convert NTSC to PAL much like you can do with wii games?

Well, i'm lost as to a reason why this wont work.

I haven't tried any GC originals so I will see how I go with that.

I'm having trouble backing up Metroid Prime Echoes 2 and F-Zero GX. After inserting the disc into the Wii I keep receiving a "disc read error." I already have success backing up my other Gamecube and Wii games but these two games I cant seem to figure out. Please help!

What's the big deal with backing 1 GC game on one DVD at a time? I buy taiyo yudens by the 100 pk at $40.00 each So that comes out to .40 cents a disc to back up 1 of my kids GC games. At that cost using 1 Blank DVD per game shouldn't even be an issue.

Many GC backups fail because they don't use FIXSIZE to make the disk 4.3 gigs.

My only failure is Eternal Darkness. It will freeze now that I have the WiiKey (backup and orginal) unless I remove the GC memory module.
Ideas?

The files I have, none of them are 4.3GB.

Do they all have to be "FIXSIZED"?
