dbox - "System is halted"!!

I've just tried to flash an image (Commando 2.0) onto my dbox (Sagem). Now it won't boot. It sticks on the intro screen. The LCD says "loading Kernel".

the end of the boot log says

....
Starting pid 130, console /dev/console: '/bin/switch'
open: No such file or directory
Sending SIGKILL to all processes.
The system is halted. Press Reset or turn off power
---------------------------

So I can't send any commands over hyperterminal!

Can any dbox gurus out there help?
