Virgin Media has scrambled 30% of London this weekend and plans to complete the job next month
What can we do?

My Sagem stoped working today and I was told that Virgin engineers have been "pinging" designated areas today. Starviews etc have also stopped working. Why is everyone in denial? This is a crisis

Hi dc69
I sent you a PM
The technician I spoke to last night said that now it's much easier with the one brand and all Branson's money to target the 65,000 people who use DBox etc

There is nothing illegal about using a dbox. The only trouble is when you are using the keys to decrypt channels you aren't paying for (the keys are copyrighted and it is illegal *snort* to "steal" cable).

The only way that VM could stop this is by changing the encryption machanism they use (currently Nagra) and this would be a huge upheaval that would require them to change every single box in every customer's house - frankly not worth the effort.

Maybe one day, but I expect to be using my dbox for quite some time to come.
