Final Fantasy VII Glitch

There's these annoying glitches that starts right when you enter a battle.

Firstly, that swirly vortex that comes up and takes you to the battle scene is just absent. My game will freeze frame, then load the battle.

Second, during the battle, at the information bar below the battle, the enemies' names flicker, along with the hp and mp text.

I use Dr.PoP Alpha 1.5 to convert ISOs, IMG, and BIN, just in case anyone needs that information. So how do I fix this problem?
