Ok is it me or what, I have a new Memorex DVD-RW and with DVD-Decr. it's read rate is x2.0-2.1 speed now does that sound right, I mean I don't have a problem with that even though the dvd-rom speed is 16x read. I think slower is better to get a good read. Soooo I could be a little anal about it
Yep, according to the link you posted, if you have a look at product specifications it shows the different read/write speeds for the burner....
And for -rw and +rw it displays 2x/2.4x....
You can also encounter a similar problem with cdrw as well - ie they read/write at lower speeds compared to cdr's.....
I use my standalone recorder to put TV stuff onto +rw, then I transfer it to -r (cheaper) via the PC and always encounter between 2x and 2.4x during the read process......but I am in no rush and yes reading at lower speeds can decrease the possibility of read errors.....
