FTP transfer problem

Hi guys, got a problem that is driving me nuts, as i've just bought a dvd burner! I can connect to my xbox using flashFXP, but when I transfer games to my pc, the transfer rate steadily drops until the tranfer stops. So I cant get any images onto my pc! I've tried various ftp clients, but still have the same problem. Im using a 100m/s network card through a hub.
