Thanks so much in advance!! My carrier got the unlock software or whatever from Nokia and it's not working!

I don't think it is, I had an [active] Dobson Cellular SIM and tried it, after I entered the unlock they gave me, it still didn't work. I believe it said 'code failed'.

I just looked at dhaltom's thread [he gave me your address]. do you have to enter the #pw+ for the 6230, before the actual code? no one mentioned that, if it IS necessary.

So are you saying that the Dobson sim doesn't work in the phone? The phone looks like it's locked to Cingular. If so, enter the code below once only. Yes, the p, w, + has to be entered.

Insert your Dobson sim and you should see "Phone Restricted"

Press UNDO

Enter the code below just as you see it but without the spaces.

It shouldn't be locked to Cingular-it was purchased new from Highland Cellular. I verified a Dobson SIM does not work. The code did not unlock it, it still states it is locked. I verified the numbers twice before i accepted them.
