I keep getting the following errors when I try to backup a DVD using Shrink. I've used various brands of DVD+R disks and get the same message. I can watch the copied DVD on my Sony laptop but I simply get a "Loading" message when I try it on my Home DVD Player.

Burning did not complete successfully!
However all output files were successfully encoded, and they are ready for burning with appropriate DVD burning software.
DVD output files were saved to the following location:
C:\XFDISK1
Total Size: 4,464 MB
Total Processing Time: 51 minutes 8 seconds
What does this mean?

WetPaint,
MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-850S
I was unable to find a firmware update for your burner, so you maybe using the latest @version 1.60....So....
Judging by the log Nero spit out, it looks like the burner is having a problem with the disks you're using, just doesn't like them. Since there's no firmware update that might help, I suggest using media I believe you're burner will be happy with.
I would suggest using some "Branded" Taiyo Yudens, some Sony, TDK, "Branded" Ridata, "Branded " Verbatim DataLife Plus, Ritek G04 or any media that boasts "Advanced METAL AZO" - BUT it has to include the word "METAL". Your burner should have no problems with these disks.
Cheers.

this means that the dvd folder or ISO file is on your HDD at the location in RED in your quote.
you just have to burn them manually

Whether the files are on WetPaint's HDD or not isn't the issue, the problem lies with the burning to disk process. Trying to burn them manually would most likely yield the same result, a media change as suggested should help (IMHO), but I suppose it's worth a shot and see what happens.

I forgot to mention that I am using Nero 6 with Vista Premium edition. Do you think that would cause problems?

Your log file above shows that you're using windows XP.
Windows XP 6.0
Only Nero 7 (I don't at the moment recall which version) is Vista compatible, Nero 6 isn't and yes could cause problems if used. I you want to continue to use Nero, I recommend you upgrade.

WetPaint,
You are using the original version of Nero 6. Wow thats old, lol.
Quote: Nero API version: 6.0.0.0

Nero 7 is Vista compatable supposedly so you may have to spend some money for the upgrade from 6 to 7.
I don't know if Nero 6 would even recognize Windows Vista as such. It's probably calling it XP because of the way it recognizes the OS.
@julia,
What does this have to do with WetPaint's problem?
